Afraid to buy for so many bugs reported...
Was planning to get this to play with a friend in coop for both the story and the survivial aspects but im very surprised that for such a well reviewed game there are so many game-breaking bugs reported ...

is it really that bad?

The trouble with most "reported bugs" in all games now, is that they get blown up out of all proportion into some game ending experience. "Fix my bug its the worst". "Why havent you done it yet?", "Devs dont fix any bugs" etc. When its usually just a minor thing you could play around. ie. the arrow basket making ones you put in come back out different. So what? Dont use it then lol. You can have like 50 arrows in your inventory and make more on the fly if you run out. You dont need to come to base or the arrow basket at all.

Yes there are bugs and reasons the game crashes, but so does EVERY game lol. Out of my 500-600 pc games, not one of them is bug free, although it makes sense the larger the game content and map size, the more bugs/issues i find. The worst in this game is things disappearing for some people (not had it personally), the over world not loading when coming out of the underworld caves, so falling through the world and dying from being flung up in the air by various methods including the infamous log sled lol. Again though, the rest arent game ending, just annoying. ie. lot of people wuss out on water, rather than on land. The rafts have issues with being lived on, even the house boat, so its best to live on land anyway or at least dont MOVE them. Just make sure to SAVE often at shelters (you can carry enough sticks and leaves easily) and there are Orange tents in places to save too. Then beds, some buildings, etc you can sleep and save at too, but bare in mind when you sleep determines when you wake up 8? hours later. So going to sleep too early you will wake up during the night. Best to sleep when the sun goes down and screen goes really dark.

I see that icon there, FO76 has WAY more bugs. ;)

Honestly, I've played games with way worse. The two bugs I have encountered in the game are: my zipline glitched and all the 50+ trees I cut vanished and the zipline stopped working. We just exited the game and came back in and the glitch was gone. Logs were not back, but nbd. The other glitch was with the log sleds. Had two instances where the log sled flew into the air and then fell down and then poofed back into their air in a loop. Honestly was pretty funny and we didn't even bother restarting the server or anything. Does not take away from how amazing the game is.

Oh glad to finally see some stories of just minor bugs i've gone down the threads and its just major bugs after major bugs...could be very specific situations.

actually minor bugs in many cases end up being hillarious even more when playing Coop. :P

Yeah I just got the game 3 days ago and I was worried about the quality of the game myself. It's quickly become my favorite survival crafting game.

Stick with it ... you'll soon be hooked !! Enjoy :)

I feel like some people over exaggerate how bad the glitches are if they don't like the game, or they played an earlier version that maybe had worse glitches. I'm still relatively new to the game compared to some of the people in this chat, but even then I haven't really experienced any glitches to speak of. At least none that I've noticed!

If glitches were an issues I wouldn't have the patience to play the game. I've played since pretty early on and always enjoyed myself.

I´ve played the game again after years of playing other games and I only encountered one or two really minor and nonimportant bugs. Nothing that couldn´t be fixed with a reastart of the game.
The game is definitly NOT a buggy mess, not at all at least in sp.

You should buy it. I can only speak for myself but I´m honestly impressed by how immersive this game is and how grounded and realistic the survival features are compared to other games where you can build a gun out of a rock and branches.

I also didn´t encounter a single bug with my rafts. I first build the small one and explored all there is to explore and then I built the houseboat which oc has much more space to build on and I´m having a blast. No bugs at all. No falling though the world. The game did never crash for me in about 200 hours of gameplay and the performance is great.

I play on a rather outdated setup (I5-3570K, 16GB Ram,GTX1060 6GB,SSD) and I can play with a resolution of 2560×1440 with every single setting cranked up to the max and I get constant 60 fps, which I find is impressive for my potato pc.

The game just seems unfinished. It doesn't just have a few glitches. Everything seems to have some sort of problem. Don't get me wrong I like the game but it does get pretty old trying to work around every bug all the time. They could have done so much with this but didn't. I'm Disappointed

I've largely enjoyed the game over my time playing, but to say there are no major glitches is simply false. I'm working through a building glitch that has essentially rendered the game unplayable if you want to build literally anything. It is not a finished game by any stretch of the imagination and honestly, every part of the game comes with a major caveat. If you want to play it, wait until its on sale for like 75% off.

personally I think the worst the forest bug is...

limit of things you can build

and game doesn't tell you when you reach this limit, you save, exit, you can't load back because world passed structure limit it doesn't tell you the issue, you are just stuck on forever loading screen with no inforamtion at all
if you saved more than once since you passed structure limit then you can't use backup... (and if you play long time and save every now and then... then you are screwed)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Wariat! That's exactly why I quit the first time. I was in the middle of a castle I think when I hit the limit. I learned to work smaller since but ran into a whole new issue that is proving to be hard to get past.

No, it's not bad at all. The number of bugs is equivalent to a PS2 era game. No bugs are game breaking.
