How to repair a shelter?

One of the achievements says "repair a shelter", but how?

Also you need to do more than a little damage for it to work :D
(tempotary shelter will break before you will be able to repair)

I tryed repairing the Temporary shelter one a few times when i hit it once. That didnt work, hoever using a Hunters Shelter DID work when i damaged it and repaired.
