How do I light fire weapons?

I have a spear which looks like I should be able to set on fire, but I can't. So I attached booze and a cloth to my upgraded spear. It is still called "Upgraded Spear" but now has a bottle of booze attached to it. This does NOT seem to be the "Incendiary Upgraded Spear", because I still have the option to craft my current spear into an Incendiary Upgraded Spear.

Anyway, I tried using it like a torch, equipping it and pressing L. Nothing happened. There is also not a prompt to push L, unlike a torch.

How do I set this thing on fire so I can stab and burn dudes at the same time? For now I just have a dumb looking bottle stuck to my spear.

I think you need to trow it? Then ther should be an l but not sure..

I have to throw it to set it on fire? Did I actually make the exploding-type spear by mistake? I don't want to lose the bones I used to make it.

Yea... you can make a new one if you throw it..it isnt really expensive

Throw, explode, collect. Bones won't get lost. Just add new booze
