Missing the keycard *SPOILERS*

So, I am at the bottom of the cave under the sinkhole. What a journey. And now I see there's keycard door, and I don't have the keycard. I wiki'd it and apparently it is in another cave. Is there a shortcut out or did the devs really just seriously ♥♥♥♥ up the suspence the entire journey built up by making anybody who doesn't have the keycard spend an hour going back and getting it?

In the sinkhole cave there are 3 very small pictures (which are hard to notice even with flashlight and torch at once, and even harder to read when you already pick them up) that tell you that you need keycard.
One mentions cave, another one shows hand with keycard and last one shows armsy protecting the keycard.

There is shortcut into sinkhole but there is no shortcut out of it.
You need those 15min to get outside of sinkhole cave and run for the cave with keycard then come back.

You were supposed to explore all the caves before cave 7 (abyss cave) and that includes getting the keycard, and before the sahara door there are many photos telling you to don´t continue without the keycard.

"many"?
there are only 3, well hidden pictures, they are super small and easy to miss, not to mention only one is on the way while the rest are in dead ends

I used a console command to give myself the keycard and have no regrets! Also, not planning on going back into the sinkhole, but where is the shortcut you mentioned into it?

In the ledge cave (the one with climbing axe) there is huge hole in the wall, you can use it to jump into sinkhole, after some practice you can do it without taking DMG, you can even build shelter there to save and test more.
If the turtle sled bug still works then you can use it there to get down in matter of seconds, but then you can't mess around :D
