Fertile lands cannibals?!??!?

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN D: Did they add cannibals to the fertile lands??????

I notice them spawning rarely when i do heavy work,like,really heavy work,cutting down almost all the trees around and building a lot.Since i finished my base there they havent spawned again inside the fertile lands.

On hard I haven't seen but maybe one or two 'skinnys' AT ALL since clearing that whole swath of treeage for a base :p Stay alert, but honestly as long as you're not throwing dynamite at trees and slinging the chainsaw every which way, you should be good as gold there still. I use that tall plateau above for a glider tower and find it a nice peaceful spot to regroup before taking flight again. You know now that I said this, once I log in there will be an army of ravenous maneaters storming my shl1e..

I never saw any appear there until I was like 100+ days in on an endless hard survival. Then blue mutants began showing up with some regularity.

Haha, alright.. I get it, I guess. I am like 250+ on hard survival.. And they usually do some sort of patrolling from the upper hill (that has the sea/ocean behind) and go down nearby the lake and into the fertile lands..
So far I haven't seen any mutants, and there wasn't any kind of massive activity. Only hunting for raccoons, so literally being stationary.. Until I saw one dude patrolling from the upper area, coming from the ocean and then like 4 more.. or so. Ugh. A couple of times.

Also, do you guys have any idea why the lilies have been removed? :'(

This diagram here isn't even exhaustive and shows at least two groups patrolling the fertile lands. I have seen patrols there since at least 2 updates ago (early December).
