Island with the shipwreck - Dec update
JIC anyone is thinking of building there now, or already has - in order to protect their buildings/structures from baddies - I can assure you that mutants (the worm included) spawn on the island now.

Oh well...... there goes the one (old) way of keeping things safe :steamfacepalm:

They do? I built a base there and I haven't seen a single mutant spawn there. The only living things I see there are birds and occasional turtles.

Just build over the water, dogg, and have a narrow stair bridge to get there

Ya, they do. A couple of days ago I was peacefully working away on the base when the worm started spawning right at my feet. Scared the h*ll out of me. Yesterday I had a Cowman show up on the land outcrop on the side of the wreck closest to the mainland :(

BTW - I took off as the worm was pulling its sausage bits together, in order to draw it away from my structures (I built a tower with a zipline to the mainland), and the frikking thing entered the water and 'chased' me all the way to where the anchor is. I was then forced to katana the bugger because running does no good......

Imma add this discussion to my discussion on reddit, if that's cool? https://www.reddit.com/r/TheForest/comments/9o7xau/who_else_has_had_cannibals_spawn_on_the_smaller/

It's probably because I don't spend much time on my island base, as I mostly just go there for crossbow bolts as it doubles as a crossbow bolt farm.

Makes sense. They aren't frequent........ BUT they exist. A real pain in the a**
