Endnight games have already stated its a LOT of work and we can also assume they have many other things to do as a small team of around 11 employees (according to their LinkedIN page). I am in no way against it, i just understand where they are coming from and i dont under estimate the work involved. Whereas many do think its a 1 day/week job or only requires 1 employee. Without thinking they have other things to do for such a small team! Watch the credits and see how few names are mentioned and i dont think half of them work at the studio. They are out sourced help as far as i remember. However there is a "content patch" coming sometime soon and who knows a female player may be in there...
If you like playing games without the role play element, or imagining some depth to your charecter - that's up to you, but not how I play.
I second this.
As for knee jerk reactions like this, hard to say. In some circles it seems merely acknowledging the existence of females utterly freaks people out or damages their sense of self-worth somehow. There's definitely a degree of narcissim at play given how it comes out in every argument I ever see against a topic that should be trivial.
If i do find it, although i doubt i will, i will let u know.
I am looking forward to a female character.
asks for female characters.
doesn't see female features.
proceeds to whinge about no third person view.
repeat with new pointless whine and whinge.
Dont forget they are a VERY small dev team who started with only about 4-5 employees and now maybe up to 11 + external hired help. They havent specified their actual number of employees. Developers like DICE have 640 employees or Ubisoft 14,000 for comparison! lol
