Throwing a weak spear does the same damage regardless of strength. If does not matter if your strength is 10 or 99, it will do the same amount of damage.
Throwing a weak spear or an upgraded spear will both do the same amount of damage

I meant teeth and feathers, not upgraded spear. Sorry for confusion

Teeth and alcohol (for dmg) and feathers (for speed) can be used to upgrade weapons, increase their stats.

Thats why I am asking if 30 teeth (as alcohol cannot be used on simple spear) will rise weak spear dmg...

The spears when thrown have same damage no matter unless its the 1 time use fire upgrade.
Pretty sure thats correct.

If you're using the spear for throwing to kill animals, the upgraded spear and weak spear will one hit kill the animal. But if you're are using the spears for attacking cannibals and mutants, I would assume adding more teeth etc to spears for increased damaged makes a difference.

"Thrown" damage as questioned should be the same across the board.

Normal jabs/attacking will most definitely change the weapon stats.

You can't upgrade the spears with teeth, glass or feathers.

Regardless, both types of spear kills big animals in one throw, with the only exception being crocodiles, so I'd just get a spear bag and get a ton of weak spears and rely on those to kill animals. I barely use the upgraded spear on enemies, to be honest, I only use it to clear our twigs in one hit to get fast sticks.
