Going to Snow Mountain Pointless?

Is there any reason to go into the snow? I made my snow armor but theres literally nothing there but snow. It's like theres no content there

Just fun to explore, but the enemies patrol there often, so not a good way to escape them. The consumables there respawn often, so you can keep collecting. And there are boars.

have to beat story again. theres a new alternative ending to the right of the computer. its sad as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and yea the new artifact item in it

The flare gun is also up there but beyond that it doesn't have too much of a point. Last I knew there was a place up there where there were almost no patrols but that could've changed.

Im not even close to beating it, have to explore all caves, the sink hole didnt have anything of value besides timmy's notes

timmy is in the sinkhole, u just didnt go deep enough. see the pond? get a rebreather.

snow area has boars to the east and heaps of deer and rabbits to the west, best spot to base there is by the ice lake

Well me and my partner have to always fight natives there. A lot more then the other side of the map

i wouldnt recommend going to the snow area in the late days unless you have good gear, otherwise try to get there on day 2-3

There's not a lot of reason to go to the snow, but there are some specific reasons you may want to. For most of them, the border of the snow is enough though, like the spot where the flare gun spawns is close enough to the snows edge you can just run over, grab it, and enjoy a turtle shell slide on the way down without hurting yourself with cold.

What I do normally use the warm suit for isn't the snow though, it's the caves and rainy nights. I normally live nomadic, meaning I don't really base. Warm suit can get rid of the "cold and wet" issue for you. The trade-off is the lack of armor (and if any of your armor is damaged when you put the warm suit on, the damaged piece just disappears regardless how much health it has left). Luckily I normally use katana which can't block well anyway so I've gotten very good at just not getting hit in the first place.
