Can't get plane axe anymore.

Me and my friend were playing co op and we died in a cave somewhere, he had the plan axe in the flight attendant as usual and was able to pick it up but I saw no plane axe and now do not have a plane axe. Without it I can't really do anything unless you can chop trees with the stone axe (seems unlikely). Any help?

You can chop trees with the Stone Axe. I think it's all around better than the Plane Axe. I think the first piece of equipment to try and get, is the Modern Axe anyway - after which, you never need touch it - except for skinning little fury critters.

Restart the server, that respawns all consumable, and pickupalbe items, such as the plain axe.

You can only get the Plane Axe once from the Flight Attendant. Just load your last save, if the Plane Axe is important to you.

The Stone Axe is relevantly SLOWER than the Plane Axe, and it doesn't chop the tree any faster. I recommend just reloading your last save...

The Stone Axe works just fine cutting trees. The plane axe is the weakest of the axes. Crafting is your friend.

You also find another plane axe if you are captured.

Just like any weapon, the plane axe respawns, you could die, enter cave, or close and reopen the save, all resets items
