Treehouse safety

Hi , i wanne make a treehouse to keep me and my friends safe (since at moments we get attacked by huge amount of cannibals) but i was wondering if it's rly that safe . I heard having a fire inside for example isn't the best option and mutants can bring down the tree anyway , is this true ?

Armsy can knock down trees in 1 hit, not sure if a treehouse makes the tree more durable to that. You can have a fire or fire pit inside of the treehouse without worry, just be careful when using molotovs when around your treehouse.

To increase defense, you could build a small wall around the tree so that it’s harder for mutants to get to it and knock it down.

its good for early game but i would start building a ground base, walls and other fortifiations

Build a triangle rock wall close to the tree but not to close (stay out of the mutants long phase thru objects hit radius) and as high up as possbile and you should be ok. Build a rope bridge from one tree to another and when mutants come just run to the middle of the bridge and you can range them to death and not worry about any damage.

Once you get the rock wall like 4-5 high or snug to the bottom of the treehouse you can then make the triangular rock wall hug tight to the tree and take it to the top plus 1-2 high over the treehouse and it will be fire proof from the flame throwers.

i'v been thinking to build water collectors around the tree('s) i'm using for my treehouse system since those things can't be destroyed by enemy's , no idea if it work though

You can use log sleds for that if exploits are your thing. The enemy AI is completely baffled by log sleds.

You can take my word for it. It's been a working exploit for a long time now.

not that i don't trust you , i just wanne be sure my work won't get destroyed cause of a armsy or the other mutants getting to my tree :p

The way the virginia leap works is that they only ever use it when targetting the player. Even if they could get over it because you sat in a spot where they could leap at you, you could always build the circle of log sleds further out from the tree and have a 2nd circle closer inwards. It'll be more reliable than rain catchers and it's much easier to farm sticks.
