Question about a Nitrado hosted server.
I have a 4 person dedicated server hosted via Nitrado. I am trying to enable tree regrow mode on the server. On server options in the Web interface, I check the box to enable the mod, but it doesn't take affect on the server after a restart. I've checked the config file through the Web interface and it is not enabled on it. Should I type yes in on the config file and save it? Then restart? My main question is that there are several options in the config file that are different from what I've set on the Web interface. Mainly the save slot is set to 1 while I have it set to 5 on the Web interface. The passwords are blank. The server name is blank. It looks like the config file is still defaulted. All the changes I've made so far have been made via the Web interface. If I change things in the config file and save it, will it overwrite the changes I've made via the Web interface. Sorry for such a convoluted question. I just don't want to accidentally wipe the server.

Ok. Clear a few things up for me, so i understand.
"but it doesn't take affect on the server after a restart." Are you expecting trees to regrow on restart or u arent getting it after sleeping as it should do?
If u are really worried are u able to backup the saves? As in download them via FTP or web interface? or change the save slot temporarily to check/test it.
Show me a few screenshots about what u can change. Like the main Web Interface you have and config file. Obviously blank or blur the IP. ;)

On the Dashboard for Nitrado it says "Settings on the server.cfg have no effect on the game server, as this is not used by The Forest in server mode."

So don't worry about the server.cfg file on the FTP site.

I am too having trouble with the trees regrowing on my Nitrado server. Looking for help if anyone has resolved this? (yes I checked the -treeRegrowMode and restarted)

I actually figured it out. I took the server down for 5 minutes first (as another Nitrado guide told me to do when copying over save files from my PC). Then I updated the server.cfg file (changed -treeRegrowMode to on) and re-uploaded it to the FTP site.
