How to find scarce Batteries
:) On day 20 in my current SP game, been pretty much all over and still running out of batteries. Suitcases in caves regenerate but chances are low for batteries. Any tips?

Not the nearest one, but the Rebreather cave has one. You mean Flashlights always have Batteries near them? Or um the deconstruct thing? (That would actually be pretty awesome if you could harvest Flashlights for the batteries inside...!)

More like a preference. "It casts spec" (c) ;) And doesn't flicker, like pretty much all light sources in the game. Either way, if the flashlight is in the game, if it's not going to be useless after a short while there should be some way of keeping it going. And "get moar flashlights" is what boring games do :P

They mustve changed the flashlights then.

last I was playing was back around .54 and flashlights were pretty much the worst light source and have a limited fuel.

Yeah, revisiting myself after taking a break. They do go through batteries pretty fast, but they've upped the light intensity. Also it doesn't go out if it's raining, torches etc do that now.

Anyway picking up more flashlights does give you more batteries. I think I knew that, but for the other items it just replaces them/nothing happens. Thanks for the tip DanteBrane!

The rebreather cave also has 2 respawning big plain cannies inside.

Pretty awkward as normally there shouldn't be a respawn for caves.
Which is actually sad. :/
