Once you know how to control things and get BPs to stack well, you can do sick things like an extended water basin in stone ;)

I also posted a few more pics of interesting things, including my custom log catcher :P
I'm not talking about what is well known to experienced players. I'm talking about readily available info... Steam guides, wiki, reddit, etc. I personally don't count YT in that regard quite so much because a video is usually not the best way to research. Not everyone wants to watch an entire video to answer one simple question. They also don't tend to list all the info in the video description so keywords and the title are often the only indicators.
I'm also saying that's only a portion of it. Being an EA game, it's quite expected that much of the info found is outdated. I certainly don't expect anyone nice enough to spend their time writing a guide to be chained to keeping it constantly up to date.
If I do a guide, I will be providing links and credit to any info already shared. Not looking to take credit for anyone else's work. I've dug pretty deep into the game and researching it for myself. The wiki does have a huge amount of content by now Thanx to people like Farket. However there are also things that don't quite fit there.
The primary focus of my guide is building. People have many different styles of building as well as playing in this game. My intent is to make a two part guide. Firstly being an all in one type guide for gameplay and tips (largely sharing links to appropriate places). The second, my focus, is to present many different styles and methods of building things in great detail. Not just a showcase but sort of a building tutorial.
I think the building can be quite frustrating to people and even discouraging. In fact, after beating the game I started in creative. Had absolutely no fun cause I had no idea what I was doing. Then I ended up just messing with things and expirementing. Now I can jump straight in and know exactly how to get things like I want them.
One example that I have yet to see as a tip... I often encase my platforms in stone. If they are on a hill it makes the stone look awful. With a little practice you can easily set a custom foundation to level the second layer. Then blend them (hiding the custom foundation) and you have a slightly odd looking first layer and all the rest are nice and clean. I'm quite sure I wasn't the first to do this... but I've never seen it explained. Just an example.
Also I seem to have accidentally stung you into a really long response, my bad; the videos with specific titles thing was a dig at someone else
No, troubles. Just got to rambling about my ideas for the guide.
