can't find rebreather.

i'm having a hard time finding the rebreather.

i'm using the map found in the guide here ( https://theforestmap.com/caves/#852.0,809.9 ) but it's so outdated and inaccurate that i can't find anything using it.
if anything, only the surface part of that map is accurate since i can find the cave enterances.
but the cave part is useless and impossible to cross reference with the in-game map.

there is no tunnle going north west like in the MS Paint map, theres a giant underwater tunnle that i can't swim through because i don't have the rebreather.

what cave enterance do i need to go to because i thought i entered the right one.

Yes it is. Look towards the tree and 180 degrees behind u and abouts 10 metres into the forest is the cave. :)

I found it in "cave 1" or something according to the fandom wiki. But it was right before having to go under water to get through the rest of the cave. It may or may not have been the same cave with the katana. But I'm pretty sure it's pretty close (a section away) from the rusty axe.

If I'm thinking of the cave, it has 1 armsy creeper in it and about 5 cannibals. With 3 babies.

It was also the cave for me that had the camp in it next to a wall with several "roasted" dead corpses that are a shed and a ton of bibles everywhere. You find the rebreather just a bit before that section because I think that's where I got the axe and you need to go underwater to get to that location. It also has a big ole door you open with rocks on a pressure lever. For this cave I don't think there are any creepers.

dealt with the cannibals. saw the babies, but i noticed armsy isn't behind the door anymore. neat

Yep that place. And no armsy. I've only found 1 armsy in a cave so far.

they used to put him everywhere in the earlier builds. one even had 3 armys in one place.

Jeez. I've been in 3 or 4 caves now and only 1 creeper. Before I started going into caves though - I'd get 3 of them at the same time every 15 minutes on the surface attacking my base though and it pissed me off it was ridiculous.

So I had to get an API mod that let me adjust spawn rates and removed the stupid auto aggression that happened every 30 seconds and now the game primarily relies on my aggression towards them for them to respond.

Buy now in my game I'm looking for the modern bow.

Modern bow is one of the last (and hardest) items to get, it's in the "final" caves (7/8) that lead to the sinkhole.

You need to enter cave 7 north of the landbridge, carefully work your way down a ton of ropes, work your way west & south to the big cave 8 chamber, and then swim underwater to the room with the bow.

Make sure you are fully provisioned, armored, and geared up before attempting it.

i actually just got it like 6 minutes ago..

if you wanna tape a flashlight to it, go for it, but just know that theres no way to recharge the battery when it dies.

and i should have voiced this before, but i'm not new to The Forest. i'm even a kickstarter supporter before it got greenlit on steam.

HOWEVER, i haven't played in close to a year because i wanted to do my 2nd playthrough of the story after it hit release.

I believe I've read that you can remove the flashlight from a weapon by placing it on the crafting mat and selecting the "Disassemble" option, which should in theory allow you to recharge it.

Not sure what happens if you already have another flashlight in your inventory when you try this.
