Game Won't Start

I double click on the desktop icon and nothing happened I then went into steam and clicked play on the game and nothing happened at all.

I just got it working I just logged out and logged back into my computer and it worked.

When you start the game on Steam, a launcher window opens (TheForest Configuration).

Check your Task Bar, if it doesn't pop up. It should be seen there.
You have to click on Play! on the bottom left from it to start the game.

be sure to check task manager. if i accidentally start it twice, neither launcher opens. sometimes it just tries to start twice. if this is the case, force stop both in the manager, and ignore the idiot who will at some point tell you to delete system 32

Well, I checked it out but I found ANYTHING, I even checked all the programs running in my PC and there was nothing correlated to The Forest, I even checked it while steam was "starting" the game but all I saw was just steam using more CPU for then returning to normal...
Only several times trying to start the game popped up the launcher, but when I tryied to start the game it crashed, and 5 minutes later of tryies all that came out wasn't even the launcher but a direct crash message.
I'm really pissed off devs, can you please make the game not broken for once?

Have you tried verifying the game files, Updating graphical drivers, Reinstalling, and restarting your PC?

Also could you please list your PC specs; GPU, OS, CPU, RAM etc?

If the game isnt opening and your clicking on it multiple times it might be related to the last Windows Update. You can rollback to previous in Recovery. It's worth a try. The new Windows Update drops this week anyway so that might work too.
