Even though I don't know if they plan to advance the system by not only changing the color of a marker but also the type (cave, point of interest, gun part, ...) and always give us the chance to turn off some markers.
Since the icons can get very annoying, when all you can see is markers. XD
However, I've seen that my chap drew some sort of tents onto the map.
Guess those were cannibal villages?
As guy said earlier ^
tents = villages
Still, some way to indicate plant and animal locations would be very helpful. Or to mark points of interest (yacht, containers, cockpit) on the map itself.
I am not looking for a full-detail, printable map - even a simple one would be nice. I will add what I need. I just want the opportunity to do with it what I want - and reprint it whenever.
Would love an idea
The map is not super large, and you can always easily use the mountains to find North, as they are visible basically anywhere.
Markings would only serve a purpose of immersion in the end.
Why is it cheating and breaking immersion?
You simply have to open up Steam Overlay and go to that site.
It's completely independent from the game and is a good way to orientate yourself.
Nothing bad about that. I still use it after over 120 hrs ingame.
