Map won't open

I have the map binded to M, but no matter how many times I press M there isn't any map that opens.

Do I have to discover the map or something?

Ye, I was asking my friend this exact question, you have to find the map then you have to discover other parts of it too I think.

You had to find 4 pieces long time ago. Now it's a complete map, but you still have to find it.

go to the main cannibal village, you'll find a cave entrance on the outskirds, go down, it's right there in the entrance zone. Next to it is also the compass

Ah, glad they changed it, glad I won't have to spend 20 minutes on finding it like the flintlock pistol parts.
