How do you stop logs from flying all over the place?
So I built a zipline to zip my logs over to my main camp but whenever I zip over to stack em my logs would just launch in 15 different places. I have built a medium sized "log catcher" but i don't think it's working.

I would take any advice to stop em from flying off...

From what I read on the wiki, logs tend to go nuts if you zip too many of them at the same time.

:( I guess i'll keep playing my "find the logs" mini game until the physx engine settles down.

You can zip logs? O.O

If the end of the zipline is not in render distance, game spawns them all at once at the same spot. that´s the reason why they "explode"
If you keep the end of the zipline in render distance this won´t happen.
Workaround would be to make several stages.

oh okay. I'll do that. my zipline is now 14 ropes away so that kinda explains it.

I've been either making a stone wall "corral" for the logs, or if you are near a pond, set your zipline to empty out right on the edge. The logs will roll into the water and the water physics seem to cancel the crazy catapult physics.

I come across with same issue. As soon is zipline longer, outside of rendering/collision range, game engine does not handle physics well enough, when you enter log physical range on other end of zip line. It does not matter if you walk there or travel with zip line, when there is several logs, they will fly all over the place, once physics start to calculate.

I found this setup from Farket to work quite well:

And here is my version in imgur album, with info how to build it. I have tried version with log holders, but that didn't work well with for me, because it is hard to aim, wold you get log from inside Gazebo or one that is already placed in log holder.
