same happened to me, i had everything i needed, the recipe showed up, and it said the materials needed, i had all the materials in place, but it made me a quiver instead. tried again then i got a waterskin. i just gave up cuz hunting animals takes too much effort for failed crafting attempts.
But what if you tried to add something completely unrelated to the recipe in order to "break" it until it's complete? For example, you add one bottle of alcohol, put all the items for the boots, then remove the bottle. Maybe it will force the game to recognize that you are in fact trying to craft the boots?
