Nitrado Hosting The Forest

Hello there !

I was wondering if any of you guys ever made game server for "The Forest" with Nitrado.
Until now my friends and I played throu me and now I rented Nitrado server for one month. I rented it,instaled it,I got IP, went on steam View>Servers>Add a Server . And there it was,my server. My problem is when I press "connect" it starts a game and then all what game says is "connecting to client" I waited for few minutes nothing happened.
I even tried with "the forest" properties>set launch options "+connect IP"...same,nothing happened.
As ingame join option it doesnt even show my server on any of those lists!

So what did i do wrong? Can anyone relate? I would be thankfull for answer.

P.S. I used Nitrado server for Farming Simulator 17 for few months without problem.
I dont want anyone answer with "ohh,dude you are using nitrado,nah dude" ," firstly you are using Nitrado, secodnly YOU ARE USING NITRADO"
I dont need that. I just need someone who used Nitrado to host game and answer me what did I do wrong. Thank you

I have a Nitrado server too but 2 people cant see or join it.

Right, I've had the same thing. When connecting through the Steam servers window, or the "+connect" thingy, I get the same message.

However, I found out that I can connect through the game itself: Multiplayer -> Join -> Internet.
In this screen, filter your server name. You might not see anything directly; You'll have to be patient. My server only pops up after about a minute or so. It just takes a while for the list to get populated.

Also note that if your filter is strong (or your server has a specific name), it might only show your server. The list somehow scrolls a bit down automatically. Just click anywhere on the list and move your mouse down; This might show any servers hidden "under the top edge".

Also: I played around with the settings a lot to see if I could make it work. Not sure if this has any influence, but I turned VAC off, and I DO have a Game Server Login Token (contrary to Nitrado wiki).
Since I only play with friends, this works for me. And I don't feel like changing any settings now I finally can join.

nah, I dont think that we did. We probably bailed on game shortly after trying. Dont remember it anymore
