"Just build a water catch" does not solve the issue.
The issue is not "I can't find anything to drink," the issue is "If the devs care about survival realism, then one should be able to do A, B, and C."
Drawing water is already an implemented, and arguably core, feature in the game. A player should be able to draw water from a lake just as easily as from a small pond.
Enjoy!
I appreciate this, I'll take a look around for a half broken boat - I did find the cockpit of the plane nearby.
This still seems like a major flaw in a core design. Not being able to draw water from every water feature is like having game which you can't hunt. This would be like having this survival game and there being deer, but you can't kill, skin, or harvest meat from the deer. What's the point of having deer in a survival game if you can't hunt it for resources? It's the same argument for having a lake where you can't draw water from.
Again, thanks for the response. This is just a severe oversight which seems like an incredible opportunity lost - especially when so close to official launch.
Cheers.

Also actually game is too easy and having such huge water source would totally remove thirst from the game :/
Sorry to bring this up, but I built my base on the Geese Lake.
And I actually can drink from every position at this lake (playing Hard Survival).
Even though the water isn't meant to be "clean".
Funny thing about such a base is, that free meal will fly through the wooden walls from time to time ready to get "hunted down". XD
Just watch those poor Geese swimming on my wooden foundations getting harvested easily.

lol
PS: The performance drops coming from the fact that I record and play on respectively from the very same hard drive.
I only make that different if I plan to fully record a game.
Yet, I am not in the mood for such projects. XD
My performance is way better without recording while playing, but that's just logical.
@Sifer2 - The ease or difficulty of the game is irrelevant to playable mechanics. If the mechanic is in the game, then one should be able to utilize said mechanic. If the developers believe that the game is "too easy," then they could have designed their own map to not have so many water features. What you are discussing is, in the example I used about hunting, that the game would have too many deer that food issues aren't a concern. What I'm talking about is that there is a hunting mechanic, and there are deer, but deer are the only animal which we are not able to hunt and kill because *reasons*. Do you see the difference and why your comment does not pertain to my points? The difficulty of a game should not be adjusted through the arbitrary selective application of a core mechanic; especially when said core mechanic is not properly explained as to why it is arbitrarily not able to be used. There is no logical explanation, which I can think of, as to why water can be drawn from point A, but not point B, after water has flown from point A into point B. This doesn't make any sense, which is the purpose of my inquiry.
@RageMojo - Video game developers have, for decades, attempted to create as real of a gaming experience as possible. If you don't like a game whose developers are intent on bringing the most realistic experience to the gamer as possible, then it is advisable that you not play games which have developers with such a mindset. "My Little Pony Island Adventure" may be more your style, if realism is not. I'd also recommend that you stay away from Star Citizen, ARMA, Squad, Project Cars 2, Kerbal Space Program, DCS World, The Long Dark, ARK, Flight Simulator X, NBA 2K18, Euro Truck Simulator, Verdun, Red Orchestra, Take On Mars, Medieval Engineers, Rocksmith, and Shower With Your Dad Simulator 2015.
All of the above mentioned games have some attempt at realism by their developers, so if you "loath [sic] the word 'realism' in video games," it is to your advantage to steer clear of them.
@Just Chill - Well played.
@All Thanks for the comments. Has anyone seen any mention of this being an issue by the devs, or any other comments from them regarding this topic?
Thanks. Cheers.
