The sinkhole cave

Hello, I'm walking around in the sinkhole cave for hours but the objective "explore the sinkhole cave" isn't marked as completed.
What I have to do to complete the objective?

My problem is I was out exploring, came across the sinkhole, got attacked by a small group, got knocked over the side (refuse to admit I accidently fell while trying to avoid an attack :P) and somehow survived. (was so close to death that if I sneezed hard I would die). Had my med bottles plus a few med+ plants on me, got myself healed up to full.

Barely made it past 2 cowmen, a group of greys, and an armsie wandering around the bottom of the sinkhole. (Glad I had max amount of all the meds) I did the whole sinkhole backwards and came out the actual cave entrance and still never got the completed "explore the sinkhole cave"

Come to think of it, I have yet to complete any caves from the list dispite having explored most of them from one end to the other.

I gave up on trying to clear them.

to get "explore cave" you need to uncover it fully on the map. (so yes you need to find exit)
Btw did you blow the wall with explosives?
or visit the hidden chamber which has bow?

how did you get it ? im still stuck at this exploration.. i've entered the sinkhole from cave 7..i had to open a large door...then i found myself in the middle of the sinkhole.. so there is only 1 cave entrance...under the water in the mid...i enter there i go past every hall and get to the sahara lab door...still doesn't say i've explored the sinkhole cave...how did you do it ?

sinkhole cave is split into 2 caves.
skinhole and chasm
which one you don't have crossed?
chasm cave starts in the moment where you finish climbing down the walls and enter location with broken black doors sink partilly in water.
everything over it is sinkhole cave (tennis rocket/pedometer/virginias/etc)

Well i just found it. Yes the caves are united. There was a tiny entrance i couldn't see which brought me to a big hall and after running down 1 hallway i got the sinkhole exploration
