Cheat
I was watching a FORMER friend play this game and noticed that it looked like they were using "cheat engine". When I asked them they said yes they were. I told them they would prolly get banned and then I "unfriended " them. I don't have this game but was considering it, but now I don't know if I will get it. Especially if a person can use cheat engine on it. Again ,they were definetly using a form of some type of cheat engine.

You can use cheats freely without any risk of ban tho ;d

I heard that some dedicated servers have VAC but I have heard that it doesn't work :D

Apart from cheats you can enable in-game console and use commands too

As far i know cheat engine is not detectable.
I personally like to cheat in Singleplayer games (for fun stuff or messing things up) and for that i use cheat engine, but sadly it's also possible to use cheatengine in multiplayer, especially if alot of the things are clientbased. It doesn't work with everything, the most related stuff that cheatengine is beeing used is for stuff that affects only your playable character
(as example godmode, inventory stuff, speedhack etc.)

including ban/kick immunity :V
and spawning every item avaible in game ;D

Yup most player's cheat I would just stay far away, not like anyone really plays the game legit.

You can allways host for friend's tho just make It clear mods/cheats will get them banned/unfriended wasn't trying to discourage you about the game, It's really fun and you can get lost for hours just messing around with peep's, but what interest about forest?

So you play the game legit too sweet join the club, but still 90% of players mod/cheat tho with your hour's bet u allready know that. I only got like 300 and dealt with way to many of them half the time was friends only still someones had to use cheats.

Well, I mean...I have found quite a few people who build legit; but I guess I did have to search pretty thoroughly for them....

Might have been my luck but yea most build legit not bone armor tho' It's other stuff like speed or ghosting they get busted for also when all the bones are in the baskets and someone has a full set on I find it funny when I'm like really bro not even trying to hide it lmao thats when I stopped hosting pub.

You sure have showed them when you "unfriended" them... Jesus... it's a co-op game, if bunch of friends want to use cheats or console together on THEIR server, it's THEIR decision and there's nothing wrong with it if everyone is OK with it... It's not PvP-only game where fair play actually matters..

In my experience The Forest is first game that allows cheating without any punishment ;D
