tree regrow on or off?

which is usually chosen by you all, tree regrow on or off? i'm new and can't decide how i want it to go.

I recommend to disable/off it. You'll need it for some space to make building or some view to see enemies

Keep it on and remove the stumps if you need the space. If you build something huge (witch you will sooner or later) you wouldn't want to move lock from far away to your build

Just smack it a few times with the axe. Maybe 8 times? for the plane axe and 4 for the Modern Axe, but you may also want to crouch when doing it to avoid doing a down swing which makes it a longer process to do. If your bothered about speed that is lol.

keep it on . when you sleep at night the forest will start to grow bk . keeping you in resources ,

Regrow 10% of cut down trees when sleeping.

I usually keep it off, I prefer to build in the heavy forested areas. Cannibals can climb trees and jump over your walls so axe the stumps around your base so they never grow back.

I keep it on and destroy stumps if they're in the way (upgraded spear does this most quickly.) I like to keep as much of the forest around as possible.

Yes and right through your structures too.

something else came to my mind: if i cut down trees while exploring but leave the logs, will the logs eventually despawn if i don't come back for them?

If I'm not mistaken, Isn't it like 10% Chance for Trees to Re-Grow every time you head to sleep ? This isn't much so I play with Re-Grow mode on. Don't think it makes a Game changing difference.

PS : I am certain, Logs will disappear after a few days. I don't see them after like 2 days so I think they are removed as "Excess Resources" by the Game. If you want logs to remain there, Build a Log Sled or Log Holder, They hold Logs forever, Even if left there for a long time.
