So.. I'm good at the game, but not the snow area. i know fires can make you warm but is there anyway to make you warm in the snow area other than fire?

No you will always be cold, even if wearing max cold armor. I think the cold armor just makes it take slightly longer to take freeze damage when standing still, does not prevent becoming cold. You could light a weapon on fire, preferably a stick since it burns the longest, and that will be enough to keep you warm when exploring. It will make you a more visible target from the limited amount of patrols in the tundra, but that’s your only way of staying warm when not near a campfire.

Also here’s a tip for living in the snow, don’t bother wearing snow shoes. They’re supposed to make you faster in the snow but the difference is barely noticeable. Stick with wearing rabbit skin boots.

I play the game in the snow biome and the cold armour helps me. deer skin + rabbit shoes. I mean your character will do a warm hand animation but if youre maxed on cold armour you don't die in the cold- or atleast my entire playthough it hasn't. A torch is good to fall back on as well if for some reason you lose your cold armour.
