So when you crouch, the eye appears. The whiter it gets, the more visible you are. Oppositly, if the eye "closes" (getting grey), the less visible you are. You get more stealth by being in the shadows, crouching in the bushes and of course wearing stealth gear. If you use your lighter, flashlight or any lit weapon, your visibilty will drastically go up.
Note that if the eye is completely grey, you are not invisible, but the cannibals will only notice you at close range. Also, even if you are wearing full stealth armor, it'll be quute useless if you're running in the middle of a clear area
Stealth don't apply to animals though
Sometimes they don't see me. Sometimes they do. Whether they 'see' me or 'sense' me I'm in 'game trouble' when that happens. Running when I see, sense, them works better for me.
