is stealthing works properly in this game?
does stealth armor helps you to hunt and kill natives without being detected?

Yea it does work properly, let me cooy paste an old comment I made a few weeks ago about it :
So when you crouch, the eye appears. The whiter it gets, the more visible you are. Oppositly, if the eye "closes" (getting grey), the less visible you are. You get more stealth by being in the shadows, crouching in the bushes and of course wearing stealth gear. If you use your lighter, flashlight or any lit weapon, your visibilty will drastically go up.
Note that if the eye is completely grey, you are not invisible, but the cannibals will only notice you at close range. Also, even if you are wearing full stealth armor, it'll be quute useless if you're running in the middle of a clear area

Stealth don't apply to animals though

I use a lot of lizard stealth gear. Full load and as much extra as I can keep in my pack. In stealth mode I crouch behind bushes, rocks or trees, without weapons showing. They see you a lot of time anyway, though!. At night I have grabbed the turtle shell and crouched with it over me. A couple of times they hit the shell a couple of times and when I didn't move the went away. One night I did this with the 3 BigUglies. The went all around me and seemed to be convused, but they finally went away. Very hard on my nerves, though.

Yeah, the game knows you are SUPPOSED to be hidden, but since they don't really SEE, per se; they still technically know where you are, and just wander around like you said xD

So I'm confused what you mean by 'without weapons showing'. Do you mean you unequip weapons and you are less visible?

I 'thought?' that the weapons showed a signal to the computer that many, some, all cannibals would 'sense' and react to. Don't know. As I said I have put weapons away, except for the repair tool, and gone completely stealthy; even to the point of hiding so deep in the bushes that I couldnt' see them.

Sometimes they don't see me. Sometimes they do. Whether they 'see' me or 'sense' me I'm in 'game trouble' when that happens. Running when I see, sense, them works better for me.
