I play peaceful and have been exploring caves constantly, never met anyone. The ones who say enemies spawned in their games, should also say WHEN it happened, maybe it was a bug and now it's patched.
I also like the crafting/survival side of games,on peaceful though there won't even be aggressive animals, I hope they will keep them in in the future.
Look that I just got the game and I am also learning, my experiance is that nothing spawns, but a bug is always possible. Many posts I see are very old, from when you had to write the command on the loading screen, so I would take them for what they are, like that Kyle comment above.
I also find it difficult to understand what the truth behind a post is, many times people just trolls or say things without a solid reason, I always double or triple check an informations before believing in it, especially true with Skyrim modding!;-)
What I miss in teh Forest-peaceful are aggressive animals, those should stay in peaceful IMHO.
On a side note, you sound very young or anyways sensible (nothing wrong with it eh), not a bad idea to avoid creepy monsters or "tense" gameplay, just surviving and building is a great way to entertain yourself in a relaxed and constructive way. I personally find "monsters" to be more annoying than a challenge, so I prefer to go without them.
I never do coop, but if you wanna have company let me know, I'd like to try:-)
Thank you, I was thinking similar, that in co-op it might be happening like this, but the single player should be probably clean. Probably people saying they spawned anyway, forgot to mention they were in multiplayer... Thanks for the input.
Try with cannibals again, the detail and intelligence behind them is stunning at times
