traps not working

been playing about 4 hours now, i havnt managed to catch a live animal in either of my traps, everytime i check them they are down but no animal inside ??

How far into the actual wooded area are they? its been my experience that if the are not in side a good 20 to 30 yards of the wooded areas that they done work very well

in a open area, but there are alot of rabbits where they are palced, ill try one more in the trees

Deer can set them off, which means nothing would be trapped. Also, anything trapped only seems to stay so for a short duration, so you'd need to check on it within a couple minutes of it going off to catch anything. I've witnessed bunnies trapped in them, did some other stuff for a few minutes, ran over and the bunnies run out of the trap and away when approached.

If you place the trap directly over a spawn point (just look for where they pop up when traveling around the map - it's consistent) you can just set it, run a dozen yards away, and run back to find a rabbit trapped in it.
