You can create thread and ask for people or join someone's other thread :D
If you go to download it and check steams download manager, you can see how much it needs to download and pause all of your downloads at any time. That way you could download however much data you have spare, pause it and then resume the download another day when you have more.
Steam shows my game as taking up 3.82gb on the local drive so I would imagine that you should be fine with 5gb. Steam usually compresses the local file types for downloading so that it wont take as much data to download as it does take space to install it.
