How do I carry/store cooked meat for later?

Well you can first dry out the meat on a rack, then pick it back up and store it in your backpack. I think you can have 3-rabbits,3-lizards,3/4-fish,4-generic meat. Plenty for a long trip through the caves or what not.

Yeah as stated above you can't carry cooked meat (sadly).

But as eclipse said you can carry dried meat.

this right here once it's dryed it won't turn rotten or bad in your inventory though it might restore less hunger than cooked meat not sure about that though think of it like jerkey:)

Dried significantly decreases your hunger vs cooked meat, i drop drying racks at key locations so i've got an endless supply of food.
