What does the red x with the hammer mean?
It's when I look at my structures

Structures are damaged.
This icon means that you don't have repairing tool in hand so you can't fix it :D

Use a speer. You can alternatively pick it up and then drop it, that will kill it as well

Disable building destruction just for this single hit then as guy said use spear :D
Then enable building destruction

or just pick it up and break it's neck..no damage to trap, changing settings, etc..... ppl make things difficult
