How to Eat/Kill Rabbits in The Cage?

I want to eat the rabbits that I put in the cage, but I can't kill them using axe or put them into the fire to cook. Can someone help me?
P.S.: the version of my game is the public alpha version v69b (in Chinese:"公开测试版 v0.59b v69b").

Should be able to just grab them by holding the "E" key, if not (it's sometimes kinda buggy) you might just have to use a spear to poke through, then skin them while they still inside

Just pick them up and left click, that should kill them and drop them on the floor so you can skin them.

Almost on topic... is it normal that my two rabbit cages have never catched one in three days? :-|

em... It happened to me at first, but I found that I was wrong soon. RABBIT CAGEs can only be used to raise rabbits, and we can't kill rabbits in them using axe. If we want to catch rabbits, we should use RABBIT TRAPs (which can also catch lizard), and we can put the rabbits we caught in our RABBIT CAGEs. As for how to eat/kill the rabbits, read the answers above.
