Either way, dont use boats to live on. Build on an island if u must, where u cant move it.
Rule of thumb, dont try to build a water base.
I am so fond of the house boat I'll just live with the inconvenience and hope it gets fixed at some point.
Absolutely. I've done just that. But since you have to be sorta near a water catcher for it to fill up, I wanted to have a couple on the house boat since those would be traveling with me.
When you need to place a water collector, cancel the blueprint and get your shell back. That way you can dot water collectors where you need them without hunting turtles first. Should make the process less painful
(Credit goes to Farket for that trick, though he does it for rope with skull lights. If you haven't seen his YouTube, you should. He also runs the wiki)
Unfortunately you don't get the turtle shell back!
Nope, sorry. Test it out for sure though. You actually only get back a portion of the materials and in the case of the turtle shell it could be it rounds down to zero.
