Multiple water skins?
This may be a stupid question, but cosidering my limited gameplay experiance I had to ask, deer skins are hard to come by in my game but if you make multiple water skins can you hold mutiple water skins in your inventory or just 1 in your inventory and the others to be stored as backup somewhere? Too bad you cant make them out of rabbit skins cause at least those are plentiful via traps/breeding.

1 in inventory.
Having backups won't help you actually ;D (Not sure if you can store them anyway)
Only the one in inventory would have water.

If you store 100% water skin and craft new one then the new one is 100% :D
If you store 100% one and pick up it then it has 100% tho.
If you store 100% get new one, drink to 50% (example) store the 50% one and pick up the old one (aka 100%) then it will have 50%.
etc etc

Sounds like the water skin mechanics need work, they shoulden't share water like that. Just looking for a solution for long term water storage, the water in the collectors evaporate over time so even having 10 of them makes no differece if it doesnt rain every so often if they are all dry in under a week, so far my only solution is to keep a water skin and pot full of water but thats not really building up a water supply in case of bad times. Thanks for the info though!

Blueberries make a good source of water in a pinch, and don't forget you can still fill your pot and boil it when its dry for a while.

Once you have the old pot you don't even need the water skin. You can just grab water from anywhere, build a basic fire and boil the water for drinking. 1 drink will fill you for a day if you aren't playing on HMS. Then your water skin will keep you going for another day. Plus you can magically carry the pot full of dirty water in your backpack, ready to boil when you need it. So 3 days worth of water at least.

Another thing you can do is build rain catchers outside of caves if you plan to spend many days in one, because for some reason you can't gather cave water.

I dont know if it's my game but I can't boil water to make it drinkable in my pot, I fill it up with pond water, put it on the fire and when the icon shows up I pick it back up into my inventory but its bone dry. so far my only water storage option is to refill my water skin and pot from the water collectors, but when those run dry either from use or evaporation and then when my personal inventory runs dry then I have to drink dirty pond water straight which is why I was looking for a longer water storage solution.

I do use the blueberrys every now and again so that helps but still a band-aid for long term storage as you can only carry up to 30 and the blueberry plants die after 6 days in a garden so they dont make good long term storage of water either.
