Tree Zipline

I put a tree zipline up from my base to my friends base and now I cannot delete it...Any way to get rid of it?

Build it then chop it with an axe, if you can't then cut the tree down its on.

I cannot do either of those things. My base is on that tree.

Any additional info on that? I assume you posted here to avoid repeating a forum that exists about the same thing despite how old this one is, and I also assume that you probably tried the advice shown here without success before you posted...but that's a lot of assumptions I'd like to verify if I plan to try and help.

If those assumptions are correct and nothing here already worked, have you also made sure you currently have build destruction turned on? You may not be able to destroy it because your server is currently not set to allow that destruction.

Is there even a way to delete ziplines? I never did manage to delete mine

Ziplines can be deleted, or broken once finished. If its still a blueprint you should be able to hold c on it to cancel the build (though it can sometimes be picky about which end gives that option). If it's already completed you can break it down or use the hole cutter. If it's the tree zipline you can cut the tree down as well, or try using the hole cutter on the rope as mentioned above. However, if it is already completed and you want to remove it, you will need destruction turned on, at least for the moment you are breaking it.

All that said, ziplines don't work as intended 100% of the time. Some do just genuinely end up glitched. There is also the option of finding the coaster for log transport, which comes with the added bonuses of having a shell slide and being able to go back up the cliff you sent the logs down.
