Shadows way too DARK

The shadows are so dark. Even in broad daylight i cannot see what the hell i'm doing. Also the Non-shaded areas look washed out. Plus i cannot find any gamma settings or the like in the options.

Is anyone else notice this???

They need to make the shadows way lighter and fix the auto-exposure on the non-shaded areas.

Try to change the color grading in the options menu.

For me blockbuster warm worked well

If you colour grading is on default, this may be a bug. Have you tried verifying your game cache?

A number of months ago after one of the updates, I read that this had happened to somebody. Then this happened to me not long after. It looked absolutely terrible in the sunlight. Not sure exactly how it went away but I get a feeling it was from verifying the game files.

You could get SweetFX for Direct x9 and add some gamma to brighten the game that way.
Personally i use it so the fog isnt so washed out. If you want to see a comparison:

Left = Default, Right = SweetFX.
