Help with the Rabbit Pouch

So I made this thing to collect berries and read up on how to use it. So I know you gotta have it in your hand and then approach a berry bush ... but the icon on the berries does not change for me. I am only able to eat them apparently, not to collect them. Is there anything else I have to consider so it works for me?

I have noticed that it only works on certain berries. I cant collect the ones that are the thistlebrush and edible. Blueberries I can collect fine but only blueberries.

You can store snowberries, twinberries, and blueberries. For whatever reason you cannot put blackberries into it. Sometimes, if you equip the bag while looking at the bush, the icon won't change from eat to store, so try looking away from the bush and back.

Indeed, sry was late at night and I was thinking of consumnable berries.

Haven't found a chance to test it yet but I will try facing away from bushes before equipping the bag, thank you for that advice! :)
