Steam Overlay?
Is the Steam Overlay supposed to be missing thus far, or is that a bug no one else is getting? I'm not seeing any notifications come up when playing the game, and I'm pretty sure my friends aren't either.

Do you start the game from library or from game folder?

I know this is a dumb question, but stuff like this happens all the time. Are you sure you havent disabled the Steam Overlay in the InGame settings.

Some people disable EA's Origin overlay as well, because it can cause issues or performance drops.

anyway did you try to verify game files :D?

Everything is default, out of the box. It should be working fine. I'm suspecting this is a bug or missing feature because of the game's development status.

Well its not a missing feature, ive used it many times whilst playing. So it is either a bug or you have an issue your end for some reason. Did u verify like wariat117 said?

Yes. That did not solve the problem. It has been there since day 1, and I have friends that are experiencing the same issue.

Not exactly helpful to his post lol. Goto the "coop" section and ask there. ;)

Ok couple more things, goto your steam folder and find GameOverlayUI.exe, right click it, properties, compatibility mode and UNtick "Run in Admin mode", does it work now? Another silly one, i have read is simply delete the GameOverlayUI.exe and steam will reinstall it, now does it work? Another i read is, which i really dont think will work, change the game resolution, start it, exit, change to your normal resolution again and start. Does it work now?

If those dont work, tell the devs everything and anything u can provide that might help them sort the issue for u guys. Do you get the overlay in other games correctly? What windows version? What have u tried to do to sort it? etc Ask the other friends to provide the same if it doesnt work.

Also not working for myself, worked fine until I took the last 2 months off, came back and I guess it's a bug with one of the new updates? cuz it works fine in other games, tried everything JamesFle there mentioned, no luck. ;(

Mine works, but sometimes the browser will crash unexpectedly. So yea, not being able to access the overlay is not a feature/missing feature.

Ohhhhh i forgot to add this one. Do any of u have ANOTHER overlay either u do know about or dont know about. In other words make sure / check you dont. If you have any other program that adds an FPS counter for example, any recording app (like Fraps, OBS), any GPU performance modifiers (like Afterburner or Rivatuner).

Check what u have in ur taskbar, close everything that is not essential and u dont need and try again. Does this help? If so track down the one that might be doing it.

I don't have anything extra or conflicting running. This is the only Steam game I have that experiences this issue.
AimsKey Sep 30, 2017 @ 11:07am
Found a couple to try. Run the game and get into a save, now CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to get into task manager and end the process gameoverlayui.exe and see if that fixes it. Some said it has. If it isnt even running, then theres an issue with it.

Another is to refresh the steam install, to check there is nothing wrong with steam and there is no harm in doing so. Goto the steam folder and delete all the files / folders EXCEPT steam.exe and SteamApps folder. Now run steam and it will reinstall itself and probably ask for your login details (i havent done this in a while)... now try the game, and?
