How to kill a tortoise?
I'm thinking it has the same features as the turtle (meat and shell), but I can't seem to kill the darn things! I've hit them repeatedly with both the axe and a rock, but all to no effect except using up my energy! Short of sticking the flare gun where the sun don't shine what else can I do?

They are tough. Best ive found is to get in line with its head, side on i mean, jump and hold mouse button for the hardest swing and let go. Ive found this can 1 hit kill them, at least with the modern axe. Not sure about all the other weapons. :KOh:

I find that using the modern axe + 1 cloth, flame it, and hit the tortoise on the neck with the flaming axe. Just as effective is to shoot the tortoise in the neck area with a flre arrow. The sea turtle only needs the modern axe or katana for me. Hit'em on the neck just behind the head, though! Not the shell.

You can one shot a tortoise with a spear toss or an arrow to the head.

hmm...I could kill a sea turtle this way; but for the tortoise I need the flaming axe or fire arrow. I'll try your way again. Since the tortoises don't fight back very much, I'll practice...

Tough little buggers. That s why I usually plant 5Ibs of TnT (semtex was,nt on offer) below their lower regions, just below their neck.

A nice Moch Turtle soup is usually the end result.Spiffing old chap
