[SPOILERS] Origin of Armsy and Virginia

Since Armsy and Virginia seem to be individuals "created" by Sahara with the resurrection obelisk (a six year old boy and a 12 year old girl), how come there are more than 1 of these in the game? Of course I don't critizize this, since it would be boring if these were single encounters, but I am curious how this could be explained (if at all).

We know next to nothing about their reproductive system, the only thing we def know is that virginia has sex organs and craps out a lot of mutant babies.

Could be that they used other kids, or it could be just so that the player has some epic monsters to fight.
