Cannot find Aloe Vera ANYWHERE

I've had to save scum to get through the past 6 in-game days, because I cannot find Aloe Vera to make medicinal herbs. I've dedicated all my time to searching around rivers and ponds (like the wiki says) but I'm just SOL. Could this be a bug? Really want to not be on 1hp all the time

Aloe is very difficult to find. I have a couple of places I look, and sometimes get lucky. And, I tlry to keep 2 leaves to use to kill infection, and any others to make energy+. Here's 3 places, areas that I sometimes find it:
1. Standing on Dead Shark Beach (Yacht Beach) look into the woods. I first search the nearest woods on the right, above the dead tree (huge stump). Search all the way out to the open field. Then staying about 100 m in the woods, go North (towards Anchor Cove). If you see Marigold, look harder for Aloe in the same area.
Then go up the open field towards the Native Tree on the peninsula. I've found it closer to the tree.

2. Start at Geese Lake and look around that area, N of the pond.

3. From the Cockkpit, look NE, 45* right from the open end. There's a small village. Beyond it are open fields. I look to the East down close to the end of the field. When I find Marigold I usually get Aloe.


Since I've searched all those places without finding Aloe, I always look for Marigold when I'm traveling. Marigold means, to me, its worth a little time to search.

But, there may not be any left!

Its difficult at first. Aloe is in my opinion the rarest of them all. You need a keen eye to spot it. When I need it I tend to search areas thick with forest and foliage. Marigold taste yummy btw...

Marigold is delicious; but limited to 5, as all the forest meds seem to be. I try to make 5 of each and then have 5 extra. Everythink used to be 10, and I found the extra stamina very useful in several of the caves.....Now, with hot slots, I hope to be able to use one slot for the stamina increase of Aloe/Chicory/Coneflower.

Used my last Aloe for an infection today. Went hunting, as I said above in 3. Marigold! took a little hunting to find the first Aloe. Then I found 5 more and started making meds and stamina +. Got 2 more Aoe/Marigold and 3 stamina+ before I saw three cannibals coming. Since I had all the above, +5 Aloe leaves, I went home.

I've been looking forever, and I finally found some - coincidentally, exactly where dahnLuru suggested above. From the cockpit, head northeast and go up the hill / cliffs - there's a bunch in the field up there.

I just came back to the yacht. In the woods from the big stump I found quite a few Aloe plants. I could only use one because I had just hunted for some NE of the Cockpit and found a lot there.

In times when aloe vera is hard to find I will just plant some in gardens. After it grows I craft all the medicine I can - and THEN put the medicine on a medicine cabinet and repeat. Mature Aloe plants give more Aloe than picking them early. You can hover the mouse over the seeds to determine how many aloe seeds you have. Works great for a stock of medicines - just don't get infected or you will require raw aloe leaves.
