Some in-game days are required. I'm not sure the *exact* trigger, but some things I've done on Multi and singleplayer:
1) sleep from time to time.
2) leave the area completely - includes all players. the area that you want to respawn needs to be entirely out of your 'render area'. This might include entering a cave or areas inside of a cave.
3) don't destroy the stumps
They do respawn though, it was pretty handy. I was reading a bit about it and I'm not sure but a server reset might do it as well - or there could be an admin command.
is this without doing that weird regrowth mode thing that I read about? cause, honestly a seperate mode in order to have trees regrow, sounds pretty dumb to me. :/
10% of the stumps from chopped trees will regrow each time you sleep. If you remove the stump the tree will not regrow.
do I have to start a new game? or if I enable it will it work for my current saved games?
ok, thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. :)
Nope, found it. It's under gameplay options.
I believe so. I think that was added in so that you could clear out an area for your home.
