How to Change the Item for Hotbars?

So, since the last Update, we have finally Hotbars :3
But how i can Change the Item from the Hotbar? :o

in 2018 you have to open your crafting mat, then right click on backpack, right click on item you want in hotkey, and then press the gear button. Hope I helped you <3

But how to change slots?! When I have already something in my quickslot for example axe and I want it on other button then adding axe and backpack dont give me option to change its slot!

OK I found a way but it is tedious and silly. Adding anything like raw meat, soda, stick, rock etc. (for me best option is rock to clear unwanted slots) to already ocupied slot it removes for example axe from unwanted hot key. Then we can take backpack again and unassigned axe and decide new slot for it. It is some solution but it is not proper one. Works for now though.

Old post I know, but did you mean quick slots? Why am I not seeing an option for a hot bar anywhere in the games settings?

Yeah I looked again and there is no "Hotbar". I'm pretty sure someone is confusing the quick slots 1-4 (hot keys) with a Hotbar. The hotbar is that bar that you see on your screen like in Minecraft. Ya know that bar that's in many RPG's to assign potions, magic, weapons, etc.

For many people and games quickslots=hotbar.
If you want the graphic indication of the quickslots like in minecraft then you won't find one in the forest. There is only the backpack and your shadow which show what you have quickslotted.
