Yeah --- I use a 'custom floor' for the roof because of this.

Can you fill it with rocks?

Can you do that? I didn't think it would snap properly.

thats what im talking about, you build one of the vanilla cabins and it has a nice solid roof with side walls, you build a custom roof and it looks like its floating in the middle with massive holes at either end, glad to natives dont throw grenades at you or they could just throw it though the holes.

I have seen some people fill in the arches of the a-frame custom roof with custom rock walls. But the middle center piece right at the peak is alwaysing missing the final log. Better to use a custom floor. You can always use the cutter to punch a hole and place a staircase going up to the roof later. Maybe a stick fence surrounding the border of the roof with drying racks and water containers on the roof.

Push C and make your own roof tops, its what i do. Takes alot more logs but its well worth it.
One way i do it is connect one end of roof to wall corner then to the opposite side left or right then back directly middle but on the opposite side of house, connect there with E and raise it up. You have to do this 4 times if you have a square house.

It would be 100x simpler if you could just push R on the sides to fill them in.

What would also be nice is if there were cross beams you could add as supports for the roof.
