Clothing/physical damage
Not sure if anyone has brought this up in previous forums, but can you possibly add an option to toggle clothes/physical damage. It kinda sucks seeing a great outfit get ruined or her physical appearance for that matter lol. Just a suggestion, thanks!

Yeah the damage effect for most clothing type kinda weird too, not fan of it. It's like the game used 1 type of alpha for all clothing.

So there is currently an option within the challenge mode, not story mode

If possible also add mud/dirty skin toggle, even if there is bath feature in the game later on, they built up pretty fast, like 2-3 hits from enemies already makes you looks like Rambo just came back from jungle.

I feel like it depends on total damage taken, not actual number of hits. Taking three light claws from zombies for example didn't make character look like rambo, but getting two hits from red gem zombie deals enough damage for scars to appear. Falling from greater heights or getting blown up by explosives also builds up scars pretty fast.

I see, but it's still just look kinda weird, the environment is inside a building, not some muddy tropical jungle. Scar I can understand. but the muddy effect is just out of place.

Okay, we'll optimize these issues. First I will reduce the speed of corruption appropriately.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to try using this as a gameplay element? For example, a lot of wounds and, as a result, a visual effect, reduce health regeneration or the amount of health restored. (like the fact that dirt contributes to infection). Each first aid kit slightly reduces the effect of dirt, but requires more time to use. Tablets do not have this effect. Of course, there should be some kind of shower on the level that completely eliminates the effect of dirt (let it be well hidden so that we explore all the corners of the stage).
The downside of dirtiness is that zombies have a reduced visibility range of the player (just a little), since dirtiness slightly reduces Jody’s humanity :AshleyRE4:. Alternatively, on hard difficulty you can add a small loss of health to speed up the search for first aid kits/showers.
Ultimately, instead of dying from blood loss, she loses player control and wanders around the level as a zombie (stolen from RE3).

Understood, I meant adding an on/off toggle for the main story mode.

It's not about the gameplay mechanic, but in general the visual effect is overdone and weird, you get scars from wound not dirt/mud. Careful not to add too many things for game in development, you will end up with features creep.

It's a matter of taste. Some people want a glossy character, others want interactive changes. From a game design point of view, this is a very cool feature when the character’s appearance changes depending on external influences. All we see in other games now is the reaction to rain or water (alpha channel). And even in Skyrim there is no destruction of armor, no visualization of damage. This is costly in terms of resources.
This game does it all brilliantly! I would like the equipment to be more destructible, perhaps, but now this can hardly be called "weird".
