Report a translation problem
Sometimes I believe people take their experience with Anomaly or OGSR or even Stalker with bug fix mods and thought the games were always like it.
And I'm saying it because when I played SoC EE i thought the game was too easy and they rebalanced it. But after playing half hour of SoC vanilla gog( and maybe that version has already some fan patches since gog sometimes will do that), I realized that nope game is working as it always had.
The starter AK in CS fully modded though is a beast as far as starter weapons go. You can take down Exo Stalkers really fast with headshots.
I don't like getting kill due to, some stupid game mechanic.
In in original game your armor was trash and you had to be sneaky but your guns shot straight.
In the remaster game your aim is trash and armor makes you invincible so you bum rush everyone with the knife.
Seem somebody have play more mods than the actual games.

edit: You are so tanky in this stalker compared to the original it's almost comical. unfortunately they are tanky too.
I draw the Joker one still, there no proof that they alter gameplay. So my guess is pure nostalgia bait.
Are we specifically talking about SoC? Because I replayed the og for 30 min and it's exactly the same, same spongy enemies that take multiple headshots, artifacts literally EVERYWHERE, tons and tons of resources in every corner, spongy protagonist.
I am talking about SoC remaster. It's far more tanky than original.
this, its got me killed a lot, especially as you reload, guy appears around the corner as you lure him in and CLICK, misfire and he unloads into my face or I barely escape, fall back ready to ambush again, CLICK, reload, CLICK as I peek corner
this has happened on both my pistol (90+% cond) and shotgun 70-80%
ready to just uninstall and go back to modded OG.
In Shadow of Chernobyl there are 3 values in w_[weapon_name].ltx file, which define weapon's durability:
misfire_probability - defines probability out of 100% that a weapon will jam,
misfire_condition_k, which, compounded by the probability, defines chance for a weapon to misfire,
condition_shot_dec - defines how much each shot damages weapon (i.e. value 0.0001 means that it will take 10000 shots to totally damage weapon in mint condition).

I don't know if help or not, but the wiki is clear that weapon jam is not a set value but PURE RNG.
