Does the Butterfly style still exist in the game?
I used to play Gunz a LONG time ago (on ijji.com), and I used to use the butterfly style, which was pretty fun (although it was a little OP from time to time).

Is it still possible to use it in this new game? I just found Gunz 2 (and downloading it right now), and I see people talking about something called Z style (which looks very close to the Butterfly). So is it the same thing? Or is the game way different than the origial Gunz and has all new styles of combat?

There's certain sword techniques people are using, Ivan comes close to bf type style but its somewhat ineffective unless you have a 1 v 1 with no interruptions or playing gladiator mode.

Oh, I gotcha. Thanks for the reply! :)

And btw;
Is Gunz 2 just an updated version of Gunz, like is it more of the good 'old Gunz from back in the day but with a few new characters and updated graphics, or did they completly change up the formula?

A lot of people will say don't think of it as Gunz 1 the 2nd... you'll be let down.. but if you view it as a different game with some similar elements you won't be as let down. Don't get me wrong there are some similarities but a lot of differences and new mechanics, classes, host system, etc..

It's easy:
Hold block>jump>press direction button>slash (all while holding block) This is repeatable at a pretty high speed.
Personally, I hate knocking people to the ground. I'd much rather kill them while maintaining evasive maneuvers. Using Butterfly has many advantages, including side slashing to someone's back to prevent Parry, moving so that your victim is between you and an enemy, being able to block for some moments between butterflys, and, of course, NO KNOCKDOWN.
