FPS lag issue
Was wondering if people are having fps issues as well.

I have an A10- HD RADEON 8610G, 8gbs ram, 2.1ghz, windows 8

I have to run all settings on low to get a solid 60 fps in tutorial, but in all other modes it changes from 10-50.

Is it a problem with gunz compatibility or are the specs not high enough for above low settings?

Also, if I have ANY boxes checkmarked in the advanced settings for gunz it drops my fps by 20-30 (the lighting setting seems to be activated regardless of which box checkmarked)

Hopefully someone can help me :)

Your spces are fine, it's a bug or something, a lot of people goes through the same thing.

That's good to hear, I hope it gets fixed soon. It sucks playing at 10-30 fps really makes the game not nearly as fun as it could've been..

Yeah the same thing goes for me, they really need to optimize the game.

How much ram does your Grapics card have? That could be problem. What mine is anyway.

I have an AMD Phenom II X4 840T 2.9GHz, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti, and 8GB ram with a dual monitor setup, effectively making the game run off 4GB. Though it's not the best setup I can run it on maxed out settings at 120 FPS.

I have yet to see any lag, even with a bunch of effects on screen.

Plus this game uses the same engine as RaiderZ, so it's actually pretty well optimized. Sure some maps could lose some polys but that won't make too much of a difference on FPS. At most 5-15 frames.

If you could be a little more clear about your specs then I might be able to tell you why your performance is lacking.

I'm running on an i7-2600 @ 3.4 ghz, 8 GB ram and a GTX 660 Ti, and run it at max settings with no framerate drops normally. I have it capped at 60 since I don't have a 120 hz monitor but I have no doubt it would run fine at 120 if I did.

However there have been a few occassions in campaign mode where my framerate would absolutely tank. I'm talking dropping as low as 15 FPS. It's only happened to me a few times but each time I couldn't really find a reason why. Seems kind of random.

EDIT: I'm running on Windows 7, it would probably be helpful if more people running Windows 8 could share their experience as it's entirely possible Windows 8 is the problem. OP's hardware seems fine to me.

yep, they have to correct this

Sorry just to clarify the specs.

AMD A10 -5745M APU with Radeon HD Graphics

Its a Quad core (I think Elite Quadcore?) 2.1 ghz

8gbs ram

8610g Radeon graphics : 4195mb total
Dedicated ram is 764mb

I found someone posting an config that reduces the graphics by a lot, like textures and etc.

Similar to gunz 1 archtype config, but I actually had worse fps I don't know how that's even possible lol

nobody asked about vsync? is it faster with it off? that said... even at low settings... you're using an APU, so i dont expect miracles

are you trying to do it at 1080p resolution?

Ambient Occlusion kills your computer performance but like GodSwat said, some maps cause FPS issues completely unrelated to computer specs

Running:

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz 35 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 (CPUSocket) 30 °C
Graphics
ASUS VH238 (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (ASRock)
3072MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series (Gigabyte) 34 °C
Hard Drives
932GB Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 ATA Device (SATA) 27 °C
Optical Drives
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7280S ATA Device
Audio
Logitech G930 Headset

Running everything at max with 120fps. (No Vsync) and I get no frame rate issues at all. My 7950 is O'Ced to 1075/1350 as well. The only problem is that my GPU gets a bit warm, top temp is around 67c... and I usually idle at 50-51c at lobby, which IMO is way too warm. The developers just need to optimize the game with current gen GPUs, that's all. No complaints here.

Well with vertical sync on I get 60 fps but without I get around 70-100 in tutorials. When a game loads in PVP, ill be at around 50-60 fps then when it starts ill run around 10-40fps depending on nearby people etc. What I don't understand is my older cpu with i3, 6gbs ram, intel 3000hd, 2.1 gz seems to outperform this by quite a bit.. but I thought a10's and the HD8610G is better than the old one.. the only difference is windows 7 and windows 8
Maybe it's windows 8? Im not sure if everyone with Windows 8 had this problem or if someone else.
Windows 7, 2gb ram, 3.10 ghz, Ati Radeon HD 4350.
50-60+ fps all the time.
(Settings in low of course with a nice resolution.)
