Gunz 1 general overview

2 different servers: Masangsoft and Classic

Applies to Both Servers

1) Equipment rework - Equipment will get distinct effects
Head - no effect, purely cosmetic
Torso - Max HP Increase
Gloves - Ammo Increase (doesnt specify if MAX ammo or cartridge ammo increase)
Bottom - AP Increase
Shoes - Movement speed Increase
Ring - Max weight Increase

2) Weapon level rework - No level requirements for weapons
There will be no level requirement to use weapons but will encourage leveling through max weight
(higher level unlocks higher level rings that give greater max weight etc)


Applies only on Masangsoft Server

1) Diversify Player Weapon Arsenal - Removing the delay of various weapons during slash shot
Since most of the player base uses shotguns to deliver the maximum damage after slash shot, other weapons do not see much use. In order to change this up, we will be buffing SMG, Machinegun, Grenades and other weapons to diversify weapon portfolio of players.
Specifically, with the slash shot mechanic there is 400ms delay for shooting animation, we will change the delay animation for slash shot depending on the weapon's delay

2) General Balance - Removing immediate block after slash
They want to make the new user-friendly so they chose to remove BF, DBF because it's too overwhelming on the new users.

3) 3-second immortality after spawn


Applies only to Classic Server

1) Diversify various steps - Reduce animation delay after weapon switch to 500ms
(A lot of complaints in korean forums here saying it's gonna make k-style even harder for new users and that shooting 3 times in one jump is possible etc)

2) General Balance - Keeping immediate block after slash
(Keeping BF, DBF etc)

Developer Comments

The developers working at Masangsoft Inc are divided into seperate groups for Gunz 1 and Gunz 2 and work independently from each other. Since we had more material to work with, we are able to offer the first beta for Gunz1. This is the first of the two planned beta. After the two beta and minor adjustments, we will offer OBT (Open beta testing). Before we do OBT we wanted to get players input because it is very important to us. Even the developers here at Masangsoft have played Gunz and are very passionate about making Gunz a great game again. The focus of this beta is to rid the barrier between new players and old players. We want Gunz to be enjoyed by new players and also wanted to maintain the classical aspect of Gunz that veteran players fell in love with. So this is why we made 2 seperate servers. We hope you enjoy the betaand please give us inputs so that we can improve the game for the next beta, until then thank you and we hope you enjoy the first beta.

To be honest Gunz 2 might get tossed under a bus here. It's hard to tell but they might put more money into bringing back the original. The only thing that really is mentioned for gunz 2 is that they have seperate teams but are focusing on gunz 1 first.

Also there's obv no mention of NA/EU but it seems likely.

I don't think they're gonna to push it to Steam anytime soon, but I think they might set up a web page for all the other regions, also might do the whole region lock thing that Maiet was doing like before, but who knows what their really up to. Lots of questions, no answers.

It's actually a smart idea. You think it's dumb because it's going to make it so you can't tbf all over new players... which is actually one of many reasons why it's a smart idea. Sorry bra, it's ruff I know, but you'll have to face vets.

I laugh if they do it, where you can't butterfly in GunZ 1. Gonna see all that salt coming from all those GunZ 1 died-hard fans. lol
